This year 2020 Santa Experience, won't be much different from the years past, except we can't sit on his lap, give him big hugs, as we also want to keep him safe!
Join Christina (Playtography) and Lisa (Savvy Cat Photography) your photographers, this holiday season.
Last Year, Santa visited SouthCentre Mall, and both of us were privileged to help photograph him there, too!
This year, he will be visiting my home studio in Lake Chaparral on Thursday, Nov 19, Friday, Nov 20, and Saturday, Nov 21, as well as Thursday, Nov 26, Friday, Nov 27, and Saturday, Nov 28.
Santa will be wearing his own mask, to help shield from all the sawdust fumes of his wood shop. This experience, is still perfect to engage in, and with social distancing, we still can capture smiles, without our masks on, too.
There will be two sets up, one with him, and the other perfect for dreaming of him!
For up to 3 children in an intermediate family or 2 pets in an intermediate family, if more children/pets are in your family, please book back to back sessions, to allow more personal time.
The cost includes both sets, each session is $129, for 4, 5x7 Digital files, or $229, for up to 10+ files.
"She's been so fabulous with all of our kids and captured so many great pictures! I always want them all!!" -Kim Landry, Calgary, Alberta
“We have done the Santa Experience for the last 2 years and my kids absolutely love it. It was perfect for my 2 year old who does not go to strangers willingly, as Santa interacted with him and gave him marshmallows and showed him different objects to warm up to him. I love that the pictures tell a story and my kids love all the one-on-one time they get to spend with Santa.” - Bonnie Parker, Calgary, Alberta
You're email will not be sold, rented or spammed. Thank you to all of you, that have come and made it an enjoyable experience! This is my 5th year of Santa sessions, and I couldn't have done it without all of you!
This family session is private with Santa in a totally live interactive experience. This isn't a traditional photography session that has standard poses, but a live photojournalist documentation of the family's interaction with Santa.
I have a variety of interactive triggers that Santa will naturally flow through depending on the age and cooperation of the participants. Santa might read, sing, place candy canes and other decorations on the tree, and a whole lot more. While this is all happening we will be capturing every moment. If there is time at the end we can do the old school staged sit in Santa's lap photo, but this is not the focus on what the Santa Experience is all about. Its more than just a photoshoot, it's a true experience that the family will talk about for years to come!
I am licensed and insured, and I take police checks/vulerablity sectors searches seriously. I make sure Santa has updated paperwork, too.
Q. How long is the session:
Each private session lasts up to 10 minutes.
Q. Does Santa have a real beard? Yes! Although, Santa's appearance will change, depending on location, times and dates.
Q. Can We Change Outfts During the Session:
The session time slot is very strict, so any changing of clothing will take away from shooting time. The time slot can not be extended based on this lost time. We recommend coming already in outfts, PJ's etc prior to arrival and check in.
Q: Can I Bring My Own Props: We know Pinterest ideas are all the rage, but we can not guarantee the usage of any external props. I have spend time, money, and effort investing a beautiful upscale interactive set. Let the magic of the Santa Experience take flight on it's own and you will be amazed.
Q: What Happens if My Child Doesn't Cooperate: There is no guarantees that every child is ready to see and interact with joy with Santa. We have had a 97% success rate in the last 5 years of photographing families. We will capture what is present. If there is a resistance we can not force happiness and joy on a child, just embrace this moment, for who they are at this stage in their life.
Q: Is this Just For Children or Can Other Family Members Participate in the Session:
This is not exclusive to just children. The entire family can participate as well. Keep in mind the more people in the set the more crowded the photos and less attention on the little ones. It is best for 4 members of one family at one time, if you have more than 4, it would be best to book two time slots, back to back.
